Disconnect the battery ground cable.

Remove the throttle body gasket.

Remove the ECT sensor.   Position an absorbent cloth to collect fluid spillage.   Disconnect the electrical connector.   Remove and discard the O-ring seal.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.   Clean the components.   Tighten the ECT sensor to 18 Nm (13 lb.ft).   Top-up the coolant.
