No audio during playback

The Brightsign uses analog audio if you're using VGA or Component, and HDMI plus analog audio if you're using HDMI. On the HD600 and HD2000, analog audio is always the default.

  1. Make sure your audio cable is firmly connected to the analog output on your BrightSign.
  2. Check the volume on your powered speakers / AV receiver.
  3. Make sure the AV receiver is set to the correct input (if applicable)

Compacts (HD110 – HD1010)

  1. Verify your video isn't using PCM Audio
  2. If the video uses ac3 audio, the Brightsign will not decode it to analog, only pass it through over HDMI or SPDIF (with expander)

HD600 / HD2000

  1. Try each of the analog outputs on the HD600 and HD2000.
  2. If you set the volume or audio output in your playlist or interactive playlist, double-check the settings you used. For audio output, 0=Analog, 1=USB, and 2=Optical/HDMI.

Note: If you're playing a single video using Autoplay.mpg on an HD2000, the audio output can only be changed directly in the Autoplay script (autorun.bas). Please email support@brightsign.biz for further details.
